The Reality Is Calling You – Working in an Unrelated Industry

228-illust_(Feb26)The Reality Is Calling You - Working in an Unrelated Industry

Do you think you are in the right industry?

Many of us dream of working in a prestigious company or in the industry that is related to what we have studied for many years. Some are fortunate to land in a job that they desire the most, but some are not. We spent so many years in school trying to be at our best to have brighter future, but, what if you end up working in a company that is far from what you were dreaming of?

There are many reasons why a person will take a job even if he knows he doesn’t fit in it. Some are personal, and some are brought by inevitable situations like peer and family pressure, insufficient jobs available, and the most common reason: money. People who work in an industry that is not related to their major of studies usually experience difficulties doing responsibilities. More often, they are the ones who normally have a lot of complaints about their job even if the tasks are not really difficult. Most of them easily get bored. They always have the urge to quit the job and find a better one. But despite all of these, they still push themselves to do the work. On the other hand, some people tend to find comfort in doing new things. They bravely face the challenges in the industry that is far from their interest. Having a job is almost a lifelong journey. One must weigh things well before he steps into the doors of an unfamiliar industry.

On Poverty

222-illust_(Feb21)On Poverty

Do you think the world can eliminate poverty?
Poverty is a serious problem that the world has been going through. But, is it right to blame poor people alone for their own mishaps and predicament? What about their government? Corruption will never stop for people who are not satisfied with their wealth and power. Such causes of poverty and inequality are no doubt real. But the more global effects of poverty are not yet completely discussed.

In Africa, many people are having serious illness like HIV; India’s problem in water pollution is big that even tap water is not safe for drinking. In some countries, lack of education, food and shelter prove that poverty exists. In the face of such enormous external influence, the government of poor nations and their people are often powerless. As a result, in the global context, a few get wealthy while the majority struggle. On the other hand, despite all of those issues, people are still optimistic that poverty can be solved.

Would You Rather Be Happy Or Be Right?

225-illust_(Feb24)would we rather be right or be happy

Would you sacrifice a relationship just to prove you are right?
What would you do if you are torn between being the one who is right and being the one who is happy? Choosing to be right does not always make us happy especially when we are inconsiderate about our actions. We sometimes insist what we want to our subordinates, individuals under our authorities or our loved ones. But even if we get the favorable “yes”, we still feel unhappy because by insisting what we want, we know we hurt them.

Kids fight over toys, friends lose attachments, marriages break up and employers and workers separate ways because nobody wants to give in about the issue that causes disagreement. Arguing over unnecessary idea will just ruin relationships. If we value the people around us, we will realize that pushing what we think is right… is not always the right thing to do.  True happiness is found in good connection with everyone. It’s not about who’s wrong or who’s right. Winning a conflict is not always a proof of happiness because at the expense of destroying relationships, the belief to be right must be put aside.

Body Language: What Does Your Walk Say About You?

221-illust_(Feb20)Body Language- What Does Your Walk Say About You

Your hand position, the swing of your arm, the length of your step… the way we move in a space reveals many things about our personality. Find out how!
Ever noticed the way you walk? You often walk with open hands, palms facing your hips? Good news: It is a sign that you are compassionate in nature. Palms forward? Well, you’re kind of narcissistic. Facing backwards? It seems that you are rather resigned to fate. Let’s move on, the best is yet to come!

Arms being held close to the body reveal a discomfort or a desire to escape. We see the exact same reaction when we run, the way our arms are often pressed against our bodies. Not in your case, as you’re more inclined to walk with your arms crossed over your chest? You display mistrust, which directly translates to a lack of self confidence. As for those who are used to walking with a hand clinging to the other wrist, this is a way to make yourself feel more secure, an inherited childhood reflex.

So what is the best way to do it? Walking whilst swinging your arms indicates that you feel good! And based on experience, the greater the amplitude of that swing, the higher your morale goes as well.

For you, what is the importance of writing?
One of the things that you’ll be doing at work or school is writing. Sadly, not all people are blessed with the aptitude for the pen. Here are some tips to be a good writer:

1. Learn the basics– you can’t break the rules if you’re not aware of them. Try to learn as much as you could or else you’ll be wading through the darkness.

4. Forums can really boost your writing ego– there will be times when making friends is hard. Forums can help you in those situations. The Internet is a great place to be in for everyone is equal in it. Be respectful, ask nicely and thank people who answered your queries.

What Are the Sources of Antioxidants?

217-illust_(Feb15)What Are the Sources of Antioxidants

Do you want to have younger looking skin?
Anti-oxidants are known for keeping us young looking. There are several antioxidants found in various plant foods. Each of them has its own functions. We can also get it from supplements which replenish the insufficiency of antioxidants in our body. However, several studies say that supplements alone may not have a proper balance of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes unlike fruits or vegetables. The best antioxidants are those found in brightly colored fruits and vegetables. Beets, carrots, spinach, broccoli, tomatoes, cherries, red grapes, and berries are a good source of antioxidants. Dried fruits, beans and eggs too, are known to have a good amount of antioxidants.

Apart from the anti-aging effects, antioxidants also play a vital role in preventing the risk of chronic ailments like cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
